For more than twenty-five years, Emmy Award–winning comedy writer, performer, and producer Ed Driscoll worked inside Hollywood’s writers’ rooms, backstage at major productions, and alongside stars including Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Bob Newhart, Dennis Miller, and Morgan Freeman. In this warm and hilarious memoir, he shares what really happened behind the cameras—from writing for the highest- and lowest-rated shows on television in the same week to dragging in his trash cans while still wearing his Oscars tuxedo. Beneath the celebrity encounters and show-business absurdities is an honest look at rejection, self-doubt, gratitude, and the realization that success always seems to come with another rung left to climb. Perfect for fans of behind-the-scenes Hollywood stories and thoughtful memoirs, this is a funny, candid reminder that triumph and disaster are often closer together than they appear. $0.99 on Kindle.
