When A.I. reaches the singularity, when their processing, their “thinking” gets faster and deeper than ours, what can we expect? Will these beings bring about the end of humanity as we know it or will they turn out to be some kind of boon, some elixir to heal the ills of all humankind? And what if these glorious beings are housed in a chassis that’s anatomically correct and fully functional? I’m an Asimov fan, in no small part because he’s one of the few A.I./android/robot storytellers who envisions a world where our interactions with them are benign or even beneficial to us. I do aspire to it. Free on Kindle.
